The Winter Sun Trading Company is my mother's company. Operating in Flagstaff, Arizona, for over 20 years, the site offers herbs, kachina dolls, jewelry, books, baskets, and so much more, with links to Colorado River Runners and other Flagstaff area businesses.

Peak Scents is my sister's company. DeeAnn Tracy, a second-generation herbalist and Grand Canyon river guide, created Peak Scents Botanical Body Care to repair and restore the mind, body, and spirit. DeeAnn and I produce the Advanced Wrinkle Cream Treatment seen on these pages.

Desert Woman Botanicals. Monica Rude has been growing medicinal herbs and making herbal remedies since studying with Michael Moore in 1991. Moore is a renowned teacher and writer of books on SouthWest herbs. After being a nurse for 20 years (MSN, specializing in critical care, neurology, and physical rehabilitation), it wasn't easy at first to accept crude herbs as serious medicine; but before long, she started to see they really do work and has been making products ever since. Many of the herbs are grown using organic methods on a small farm in the Gila River Valley in New Mexico.

The Busted Knuckle Garage® and Almost There, Inc. are producers of many products designed to ease the plight of auto mechanics, including two that are featured on these pages. Their website includes a monthly contest for the best messed-up auto repair story of the month. Check it out.

The Healing Arts of Northern Arizona. It is well known by neurophysiologists that art, music, prayer, and spontaneous healing ALL come from the same source in the body and that they all are associated with similar brain wave patterns and mind-body changes. They are all deeply connected in feeling and meaning. Art, prayer, and healing take us into our inner world, the world of imagery and emotion, of visions and feelings. This journey is deeply healing.
